In order to keep hobo spiders from becoming an annoyance in your yard, here are some practical things you may do:
1. Keep things tidy and uncluttered:
Get rid of rubbish: Eliminate any potential hiding spots for hobo spiders by clearing away mounds of leaves, rocks, wood, or other debris.
To eliminate potential spider web sites, cut down overgrown plants and long grasses around your house and yard.
Keep things simple: Keep gardening equipment, pots, and other items in an orderly manner to reduce spider hiding places.
2. Consistently Remove Webs:
Destroy webs. Look for webs shaped like funnels in nooks and crannies in your landscape, between rocks, and on buildings like sheds on a regular basis. Destroying the webs might deter spiders from making a permanent home in one area.
